Sounds like you’re preaching to all of the rest of us. Of course we’re more complicated than animals. You sound like one of those people who likes dogs better than humans.

if this dog is so great, how come a lot more people don’t own them? The only one I’m personally aware of is the queen of England. What are their bad traits?

My two dogs certainly reflect what I need them to be. One is gentle and loyal, but dumb and not very courageous. The other is equally loving, but fierce, stubborn and way too “alpha.” Still, he’s the one I rely on to protect me.

Yeah, that dog sure has a royal name. A few breeds sound like that. Like the Prince Charles Cavalier Spaniel or some such name as that. It’s kind of neat but also reminds you that royals used to have way too much time on their hands.

Is this the same type of dog that the current Queen Elizabeth breeds and dotes upon? I read some criticism of the looks of that breed: like a “vivisection experiment,” it said.

It’s true that many people choose pets to reflect their own character traits. I notice big fun guys like labs and retrievers; tough guys like Shepherds and Rotties; women prefer the gentler or softer dogs or even lap dogs.

How about the traits of a pit bull or doberman? Ha ha. There are too many people already that have these personality traits. Or the yippy little Asian toy dogs. Too many people like that, too.
