Have you ever had a vacation that just sticks out in your mind as an amazing time? Well I certainly have had a few, but I have to tell you that the vacation that I remember as the best was a Rocky Mountaineer vacation that I took just a few short years ago. What impressed me so much then and still impresses me now is the luxury of this train trip in Canada combined with the splendor of the mountains, the clear, blue lakes and the amazing wildlife I could see from the train.

The Canada tours all featured trips between Calgary and Vancouver, so you were really able to see a great deal of western Canada from the prairies around Calgary to metropolitan center of Vancouver in British Columbia. There were several stops along the way that provided lots of terrific photo opportunities, many which I now fondly remember and have hanging on my walls.
