My friend Jack and I have a small business; we do house calls for car repair service.  We’ve been doing it for a few years and business has finally started picking up, so we want to hire another couple guys.

The downside is that we have to add another van or truck for service calls, which was the biggest hassle when we first started.

First off, the van was expensive and hard to find.  We didn’t exactly have a large budget for startup costs, so we had to find a reliable used van-I can’t imagine we’d get much business if we had to call our clients every so often to tell them our van broke down, not to mention the embarrassment factor.  Even used, though, these service-type vans are not cheap.

Then we had to buy all of our accessories, which meant dreaded shopping trips to auto accessories stores.  At first, we just bought tools and a jobox, but after our first few runs out to the middle of nowhere at night, we had to go back and get Hella lights, so that we could actually see and maneuver our shoddy van when we drove in areas with no street lamps.

Jack wanted to get a truck this time, and I was not excited to go through the grind again.
