I am totally freaking out.  I have an interview for a division manager position at the local home improvement store in an hour.  This means that for the past three days, I’ve been looking up everything I never wanted to know about outdoor kitchens (the division I’ll be heading up).  There are more options than I realized, like building an island grill out of stone around the grill itself, or buying a prefabricated one off the rack.  You can have outdoor sinks that are more expensive and cooler (or should I say Kohler?) than your indoor one.  In addition to which, you have no idea how much money people can blow on outdoor kitchen supplies.  Some people turn this idea of an “outdoor room” into a full blown obsession, and they spend their money accordingly.  I mean, I get it in one sense, because if you’re doing a lot of entertaining or spending a considerable amount of time outside, you want it to be amazing.

In the end, though, I’m mainly just hoping that they work on commission so I can get myself a piece of this lush outdoor kitchen pie!  As long as I’m getting my cut, people can blow as much money as they want.
