I work in the admissions department of a building trades school.  We often have a booth at college recruitment events, trade shows, and job fairs.  Since we are a relatively new institution, it’s important for us to market ourselves more aggressively, and as part of our public relations push, we decided to use a product imprinting service offered by an online store that we often do business with.  Since we’ve been getting school supplies, teacher supplies, and classroom supplies from them, we already had a good relationship.

They have a toll-free number we can call anytime for help.  After discussing our needs with their customer service department, we decided on a bulk order of pens, pencils, and stationery.  We were really pleased with the products and we’ve been handing them out when we go on recruiting trips and when prospective students visit up.  Actually we hand them out at every opportunity, and stock them in all our school offices.  We include them in almost all our official mailings.  We make sure our donors and alumni get them.

Our administration is a great believer in advertising and marketing.  We have a website and advertise on the radio, on TV, in the yellow pages, and the newspaper.  Product imprinting is just the latest part of our marketing strategy, and it’s been really convenient to use our online school supply
