The Halloween season is nearly over. Certainly, the time has passed where you can gain any kind of benefit for your business. It is time to reflect on how well you used Halloween to market your business.
- Did you celebrate with your employees? It’s always good to do something for your employees over the holidays. Having a Halloween party, with Halloween costumes, Mardi Gras masks, and games, should be a fun opportunity for team building among your employees.
- Did you decorate the store or office and encourage your employees to get into the Halloween spirit? Dressing up in costumes, even if it’s just a Michael Myers mask, makes work more fun for employees, but it also puts customers in a good mood. Same with decorating. A lively store and a happy holiday atmosphere draws customers in and encourages them to buy more!
- Did you offer any Halloween promotions or sales? Any opportunity to get customers in the door ought to be taken advantage of.
- Did you use Halloween to market your business? A sale, promotion, or special event won’t do you any good if no one knows about it!
If while asking yourself these questions, you realize you fell short of the mark this Halloween, make a list of the things you’d like to do next year — and then file it away in a place you know you’ll see it next fall!
