I am getting myself so turned around.  My son is a year old now, and I’ve been reading a lot about the vaccinations and medications he’ll have to undergo in the next few years, and I’ll be honest, I’m kind of overwhelmed.  Everything has a good side and a bad side, and I don’t feel like I have the necessary information to choose one way or the other.

My sister’s son used human growth hormone and she says it was the best thing he ever did, but then I hear it tossed around on MLB commentary shows as if it’s a bad thing.  My father’s dog was given a round of vaccinations and a week later was totally blind in one eye, and he now says that vaccinations are to blame, yet if the dog didn’t get them, she would have been susceptible to far more threatening diseases.  I’ve read a fair amount concerning vaccinations and the thought that they cause autism, but my friend who is in pharmacology insists this is just a slanderous claim.

I understand that every good thing has the potential to be used in a bad way, but with HGH supplements and the supposed medical threats and benefits, this is all a little over my head.  Any advice?
